Veronika Kudermetova crashed out of the second round of the tournament in Charleston after losing in straight sets to compatriot Diana Schneider 6-4, 6-3.

No. 5 favorite of Charleston Veronika Kudermetova (13 WTA) was already eliminated in the second round of the competition.

Kudermetova was defeated in two sets by Diana Schneider (95 WTA) at the end of the match, which lasted one hour and 34 minutes.

Veronika Kudermetova, who is ranked 13th in the WTA rankings, started the first set well and led 3-1 and 4-2 at one point, but compatriot Schneider came back and turned the tide of the first act.

In the second set, Kudermetova quickly made the score 2:0, but again ran into the stubbornness of her opponent, who resisted and took the lead in the second act, which she eventually won.
