The security service of Rethymno is investigating and detaining persons allegedly involved in the rape of a 19-year-old girl from Albania, who filed a complaint with the authorities of the island.

The incident, according to the complaint of the girl, occurred early in the morning from last Sunday (2/4) to Monday in the city of Rethymnon, where a famous trapper appeared in a nightclub.

A 19-year-old girl complained that while she was intoxicated, she was approached by a 23-year-old accomplice of the trapper. After offering her cannabis, he took her to a hotel in the city. The trapper and another 30-year-old Albanian man then entered the room and, according to the 19-year-old, raped her.

The girl went to the police, where she reported the incident and the search for the perpetrators began.

Authorities found and arrested the 30-year-old Albanian in the port of Heraklion shortly before he left the island, while the search for the other two continues.
