Models from Dacia, a Romanian low-cost star maker, are selling very well. This is not surprising in the context of such inflation, and prices are still going up. But did you know these five facts about the group’s sister brand? Renault ?

1. Sandero is still the cheapest new car in France

there Dacia Sandero regularly takes leading positions in national and European rankings. And it’s not surprising to see a small city car at the top of the range, given its very attractive price. 2. The most expensive Dacia model – Duster!

The most expensive Dacia is also a limited edition that only exists in 400 examples in France. Version Duster matte edition really worth it 26,400 euros ! This model is painted in matte black with some splashes of orange. Based on the “Journey” trim, it is equipped with a 1.3-liter TCe 150 turbo petrol unit. Added to this are various assistance systems and other equipment features such as automatic climate control or heated seats.

3. Pope Francis drives a Dacia

At the end of 2019, Pope Francis offered himself a new Dacia Duster as an official car. Duster was updated on this occasion. It was painted white, lowered by 30 millimeters and equipped with special equipment. In the back, seats with additional comfort were installed, as well as a glazed hatch with plexiglass, which allows the Pope to stand up from bullets. Currently, the Pope is being led Toyota Mirai.

4. Dacia offered its British customers a heater

In the UK in February 2023, customers received a heating pad as a gift when buying a Dacia. It was a contempt for BMWwho recently offered a subscription for heated seats… These features are available but only activated later, subject to a paid subscription!

5. Duster is the national pride of Romania!
