​Ukraine has ordered 100 Rosomak multipurpose armored vehicles from Poland, manufactured under a Finnish license with funding from the European Union and the United States, the Polish Prime Minister said on Saturday, AFP reports, News.ro reports.

“I am handing over the order received yesterday from Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal for 100 Rosomaks to be manufactured here,” said Mateusz Morawiecki of the production unit for these vehicles in Semyanowice Słonski in southern Poland.

The order will be financed by European funds provided to Poland and American funds received by Ukraine, the head of the Polish government noted, without specifying the amount of the contract.

What are Rosomak armored cars

Rosomak is a multi-purpose armored vehicle with eight-wheel drive, manufactured under the license of Patria AMV.

The ROSOMAK amphibious armored personnel carrier is equipped with a 30-mm automatic turret and cannon. As additional weapons, it has a 7.62 mm machine gun and is also equipped with a 40 mm grenade launcher.
