The Stelios Hatziioannou charitable foundation will provide a cash donation of 10,000 euros for the urgent needs of the next of kin of the people who died in the tragic incident in Tempe. The leadership of the non-profit foundation, sadly watching the development of events, decided to practically take the side of the families of those killed in the railway collision 1^her Martha. This is an initiative similar to the one undertaken by the Stelios Hatzioannou Charitable Foundation in 2018, when the tragedy occurred in Mati.

“The tragic train accident at Tempe filled us with unspeakable sadness. I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery to the injured,” said Mr. Stelios Hatzioannu. “I know very well that nothing can replace the death of people. However, we want to support the families of the victims by offering immediate material assistance to their loved ones as a minimum support during this difficult time.”

Procedure and supporting documents

The order of next of kin begins with the spouse (also applies to cohabitants), followed by the eldest child – if over 18 and has a bank account – until, if there is no adult child, assistance will be given to the father of the deceased . If this is not possible, then material support is provided to the mother. If the deceased was a minor, then assistance will go to the parent in whose custody he was. The application must be accompanied by a medical certificate of death, a certificate of marital status (or guarantors of relatives), IVAN (indicating the name of the recipient from the bank) and an identity card (or passport).
