Carlos Alcaraz continues his fight to defend the title won a year ago at the Miami Open (as well as the world leader), the Iberian qualifies for the semi-finals of the Masters competition.
Carlos Alcaraz – Yannick Sinner in the semifinals at the Miami Open
Carlos easily beat American Taylor Fritz (10 ATP), score 6-4, 6-2. The match lasted one hour and 19 minutes.
After the game, Fritz explained how difficult it is to play against the Iberian.
“It is impossible to keep up with the pace imposed by Alcaraz. I played against the big three (without Djokovic, Nadal, Federer) and I could breathe better than against Carlitos” – Taylor Fritz.
Alcaraz will fight for a place in the grand final with the Italian Yannick Sinner (11 ATP). They met six more times (all matches were spectacular), and in four games the Iberian won.
Carlos Alcaraz needs to win the tournament in Miami to stay at the top of the ATP rankings.
