CCTV footage captured two Pakistanis arrested for plotting a terrorist attack on a Jewish synagogue restaurant in Psirri.
The two men walked through the scene to take pictures of a restaurant that their Iranian guide allegedly pointed out to them in connection with the attack. According to information provided by ERT, the Anti-Terrorism Service is investigating about 1,000 conversations between a 27-year-old Pakistani arrested in Zakynthos and a 30-year-old tour guide.
Some of these discussions are yet to be translated from the language urdu in Greek, while others have been removed and an attempt is being made to restore them in the forensic laboratories.
The 30-year-old alleged “mastermind” who issued orders from Iran used the phone number listed on Dubai. During the investigation, it turned out that he had never entered the greek Territory, but asked a 27-year-old Pakistani to buy a Greek number and create a What’s App account. This account was subsequently used by a 30-year-old with no number, only a device, in an attempt to cover his tracks.
The two men in Greece sought to obtain arms and tried to recruit at least 15 of their compatriots to carry out their leader’s orders, according to new reports.
Meanwhile, about 10 foreigners remain in administrative expulsion, who were identified by the police during operations to detain 27-year-old and 29-year-old men. According to police sources cited by SKAI, four out of ten prisoners are considered “more tough and suspicious”.
