Just yesterday, the SYRIZA MEP backed an amendment urging Europe not to fund the Euros project. What is needed is not disapproval, but condemnation.

Mr. Mitsotakis announced his visit to Evros tomorrow, where he will sign the extension of the fence project. “As a result of the Greek intervention, Europe is changing its attitude and recognizing the importance attached at the European level to the protection of European borders,” he stressed and reiterated that, with or without European funding, the fence on Evros will be built normally.
