The Environmental Guard fined Sector 5 Sanitation 60,000 lei for storing recyclable waste and household waste in an unauthorized location, News.ro reports.
The Environmental Protection Agency announced on Thursday that, following a tip, commissioners carried out an inspection at the site at Antiariana St., no. 2-4, Sector 5 (former PiaĊ£a 13 Septembrie), where Salubrizare Sector 5 SA operates
“After the inspections, it was established that the enterprise stores in an unauthorized place secondary waste (paper, cardboard, plastic, glass) and household waste, waste collected from the territorial radius of sector 5, respectively from enterprises, individuals or institutions,” he told the Environmental Guard .
An illegal sanction in the amount of 60,000 lei was applied for the detected non-conformity, namely the collection of waste without an environmental permit, and the storage/placing of any waste on the site is prohibited until the regulatory act is obtained.
