Elon Musk, who said he prefers to “live less but eat well,” is now coming out with new revelations about his eating habits. Tesla’s CEO says he eats a donut every morning, Business Insider reports.
The Twitter CEO revealed his fondness for the sweet tooth by commenting on a Twitter post by Peter Diamandis, a physician and CEO of the nonprofit XPRIZE. Diamandis wrote that “sugar is poison,” and Musk replied, “I eat a donut every morning and I’m still alive.”
Diamandis clarified after seeing Musk’s response: “Okay, Elon, let me be more specific. Sugar is a slow poison.”
Musk’s revelation about his daily diet of donuts isn’t surprising given his previous comments about his eating habits.

“I’d rather eat good food and live a shorter life,” Musk told podcast host Joe Rogan in 2020. Musk admitted that he does sports, but if he could, “I wouldn’t do it at all.”
Lesser known eating habits of celebrities
Musk is not the only celebrity to reveal his eating habits. In the political realm, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi has said she eats hot dogs, pasta, ice cream and chocolate for breakfast. Former President Donald Trump also eats fast food, telling a McDonald’s employee in February that he knows the menu “better than anyone who works in a restaurant.”
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said he likes to eat octopus for breakfast, while Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg prefers to eat meat from animals he killed himself.
