In response to a question from lawyer Roulas Pispirigo, Alexis Koyathe witness confirmed the communication cited by her colleagues from Karamandanio with a pediatric cardiologist Angelica Karaca. L. Vitsa testified that when Georgina was hospitalized, her pediatrician colleague contacted Ms. Karaca before the child had a seizure. According to Ms. Vitsa, the pediatric cardiologist told a colleague that she had seen the girl 10 days ago, found no problems, and offered to put on a Holter monitor for the second year to record the heart rate.

When questioned by the defense, the witness said that Georgina’s objection “shocked us” and that the incident was discussed at doctors’ briefings, without medical advice on the matter.
