Bianca Andreescu scored another win in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, advancing to the round of 16 with a 6-4, 6-4 win over American Sofia Kenin (164 WTA).

Bianca Andreescu eliminated Sofia Kenin at the WTA in Miami

In the second round, the Canadian showed an excellent game, after which she knocked out the seventh favorite of the tournament, Maria Sakkari.

Andreescu controlled both sets, with Kenin making a few mistakes trying to keep up with the Romanian-born player.

The match lasted one hour and 34 minutes.

In the 1/8 finals, Bianca Andreescu will meet the winner of the match between Kateryna Oleksandrivna (18 WTA) and Belinda Bencic (9 WTA).

The Miami Open takes place from March 21 to April 2 on hard, is part of the “WTA 1000” category and has a total prize pool of $8,800,000. There are 96 players in the main draw, and the reigning champion is Iga Svyatek.
