The road is “open” for the start of recruitment procedures through ASEP for 1213 young people municipal policemen in OTA educational categories DE (secondary), PE (university) and TE (technological).
A joint ministerial decision signed by Ministers of the Interior Makis Voridis and Ministers of Finance Kristos Staikouras gave the green light to allocate 1,000 vacant staff positions per municipality and education category. These positions arose following relevant requests from the municipalities, which the Ministry of the Interior called for submission after the adoption last December of Law 5003/22 on the reform of the municipal police.
