Beatrice Haddad Maya, eliminated by Olena Ostapenko at the WTA in Miami

The ex-winner of Roland Garros-2018 categorically controlled the first set, and Haddad Maia (14 WTA) prevailed in the second.

In the decisive set, Ostapenko started with a lost serve, but recovered from a score of 0:2 and did not concede until the end.

The game lasted two hours and 19 minutes.

In the 1/8 finals in Miami, Olena Ostapenko (22 WTA) will play a match with the Italian winner Martina Trevisan (24 WTA) and the American Claire Liu (59 WTA).

The Miami Open takes place from March 21 to April 2 on hard, is part of the “WTA 1000” category and has a total prize pool of $8,800,000. There are 96 players in the main draw, and the reigning champion is Iga Svyatek.
