The remains of a rocket were found in the Cavaliere restaurant in Nea Smyrni. which was completely destroyed by fire early Friday morning.

The case has now been transferred to the Extortion Prosecution Division of the Attica Security Authority.

According to the testimony of the cleaning lady of the restaurant, two or three people suddenly appeared early in the morning, broke the window, threw something inside, and immediately after that, a fire started.

In a conversation with OPEN, the worker clearly spoke of arson.

The fire started in the restaurant early on Friday morning, and 20 firefighters with 9 vehicles, police and EKAV arrived on the scene. As it became known, shortly after 10 am the fire was localized.

According to the fire department, the man found on the ground floor stairwell was taken to EKAB as he had breathing problems and transferred to Evangelismos hospital.

At the same time, three people and a baby, who were on the third floor, were taken out through the stairwell to a safe place, and the baby was taken to the Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
