Referring to “very sad news” received from “international intelligence services”, Tauber said during a briefing on Friday that “our authorities, Maya Sandu and Doreen Rechan, are preparing a military provocation on the border with Transnistria.”

During her speech, she emphasized that the information is “accurate” and “verified.”

Tauber also specified the date for which the military “provocation” is planned: April 17. She said that the date of the “devil’s plan” was not chosen by chance, but was planned for the day after Easter, when “all people will be resting at home with their families.”

Moving on to “other information”, which he says he is passing on “with full responsibility”, Tauber said that the authorities of the Republic of Moldova have sent “10,000 national police uniforms and 10,000 Moldovan army uniforms” to Romania.

“The purpose of this action is the participation of the international contingent in military operations on the territory of the Republic of Moldova,” Tauber claimed, accusing that all these things are aimed at “escalating” the situation in the Republic of Moldova and dragging it into war.

Then Tauber repeated the accusations also in Russian.

Marina Tauber has been one of the central figures in the protests organized by the Shore Party in recent weeks in the Republic of Moldova, personally leading some of the marches.

These protests were organized after Moldovan President Maia Sandu condemned Russia’s violent plan to destabilize the Republic of Moldova on February 13.

Shore’s party called for protests on the same day that Sandu condemned the Russian plan. “This is an attempt to usurp state power,” Maryna Tauber said at the time.

She, who is also a member of the Moldovan parliament, called on all parties to join the demonstration planned for the next day.

Who is pro-Russian oligarch Ilan Shor, the central pillar of plans to destabilize the Republic? Moldova

A businessman who was born in Israel but settled in the Republic of Moldova, where he became a household name, or was sentenced at first instance to seven years and six months in prison for fraud and money laundering, he left the Republic of Moldova in June 2019, without registration in customs and border records.

A month later, the prosecutor’s office announced that it had opened a series of criminal proceedings on the fact that Shor illegally crossed the border, since he was prohibited from leaving the country during the investigation of this case.

The Chisinau authorities brought him to national and international criminal prosecution, and in December 2021 he was stripped of his parliamentary immunity.

Ilan Shor last appeared in public on June 12, 2019 during a press conference. This happened two days before the Democratic Party of Moldova (DPM) gave up power and went into opposition.

In January 2022, Shor was caught walking through a shopping center in Israel. It was taken by a Moldovan who lives in Israel and posted the pictures on Facebook. Shor, accompanied by a bodyguard, was caught walking through a mall in Netanya, Israel, and fled when he realized he was being filmed.

In October 2022, the United States imposed sanctions against oligarchs Volodymyr Plahotniuk and Ilan Shor, as well as individuals involved in what Washington considers “criminal” operations in the Republic of Moldova under the influence of Russia.

Several officials from Chisinau explained to Yahoo News that Shor is one of the most important figures in Russia’s plans to destabilize the Republic. Moldova after an American news site obtained a Kremlin-drafted document detailing such a plan.

In recent months, Șor has paid to broadcast numerous advertisements on Facebook inciting protests and riots against the pro-Western government led by Maia Sandu. These ads have been viewed millions of times in Rep. Moldova.
