A man believed to be Terraform Labs co-founder Do Quon, who is internationally wanted on charges of defrauding investors by withdrawing billions of dollars through a cryptocurrency buying scheme, has been arrested in Montenegro.
The news came from the South Korean police when they announced the arrest of both a man believed to be Do Kwon and another man named Han Chang Joon.
It should be noted that in February, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed an appeal against Kwon and his company in a federal court in Manhattan, accusing them of defrauding investors by withdrawing more than $40 billion.
Montenegrin Interior Minister Filip Adzic said on Twitter that a 31-year-old man was arrested at Podgorica airport on forged documents and is wanted by the authorities of South Korea, the United States and Singapore.
A local police spokesman said authorities are working to confirm that the person arrested is indeed him. If their identities are confirmed, the extradition process will begin, the spokesman added.
