Discontent has continued to build for weeks, and yesterday’s intervention by Emmanuel Macron didn’t help. Indeed, since March 7, the French demonstrated against it pension reform established by the government. And the latter, it seems, does not want to hear anything about the demands of the workers, many of whom are currently on strike throughout the country. Some occupations are affected more than others, such as garbage collectors and oil refinery workers. The latter have been blocked for several days fuel delivery.

Tense situation

Because of this, deliveries are greatly slowed down, and service stations are struggling to replenish their stocks. A situation that reminds us of the deficit that hit France last October and that motorists are once again afraid of. If until that moment the situation was under control, now everything is a little more complicated. Indeed, according to the latest data from the participation site shortage.mon-essence.fr, 20% of stations have difficulties. A symbolic milestone, although we cannot yet speak of a deficit.

Several breaks

Indeed, most of them are not yet closed. Because 1280 are in partial rupture, which means the absence of one or more types of fuel. Only 974 are completely broken, and therefore inaccessible to motorists. As always, Bouches-du-Rhône and Ile-de-France were the worst hit. Applications sent to Fos-sur-Mer oil refinery to speed up delivery.
