​Hungary’s football federation issued a new reaction after initially saying it had permission from UEFA and FARE to use the historic “Greater Hungary” symbol in national team matches.

The Hungarian Football Federation stands firmly on the position of the scandal with the use of the symbol of “Greater Hungary”

In short, the Hungarian Football Federation said it has the approval of UEFA and FARE to use the historic symbol of “Greater Hungary” in the matches of the national team.

Shortly after the Hungarians’ statement, the Football Federation of Romania issued its first reaction, in which it stated that UEFA did not and would not allow the display of the mentioned symbols in matches organized at the European level.

Now the Football Federation of Hungary issued a new communiqué in which it defended its position.

“MLSZ already expressed its position on this issue yesterday, and we adhere to this position. Once again, we ask fans to read the MLSZ announcement and follow the rules.” – says the press release of Budapest officials, nemzetisport.hu reports.
