Chindia Târgoviște’s new stadium is almost ready and will be inaugurated in a month’s time, after the team has played its “home” matches in Ploiești for the past four years.

Chindia Târgoviște inaugurates its stadium

Although Chindia is in their fourth consecutive season in the Super League, they have failed to perform on their home turf in front of the Tirgovishte fans.

As reported by GSP, representatives of the Professional Football League and the owner of television rights to the Super League visited the new stadium, which is in the final stages of construction.

The first game Chindia will actually play at home will be on April 22 or 23 against UTA.

Also on Tuesday, the Dambovitsa County Council decided to transfer €600,000 to the team after the players did not receive their salaries for 4 months.

After the first played stage of the play-out, the team coached by Tony Petrea is in seventh position with 16 points.
