Over £5 billion for Manchester United

Officials are confident they will surpass the £5 billion mark by Wednesday’s deadline through the sale of the NFL team Denver Broncos, for which they paid $4.65 billion last year, the Daily Mail reports.

United are eyeing six final bids, both full takeovers and part-investments, at least two of which would break the sporting record.

A delegation of Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani visited Old Trafford and the Devils’ training camp last week, taking part in ten hours of talks and presentations.

This happened to one of the richest Britons, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who, together with his group, is negotiating to take over the club.

According to Manchester United, the next round of bidding to select a buyer will take place next term, with Easter seen as the moment to make a decision.
