Black Bridge, an alleged Russian anti-Putin guerrilla group, has claimed responsibility for an explosion that destroyed a building of the Federal Security Service (FSB) in the city of Rostov-on-Don in early March this month, Meduza reported.

“The FSB is a bastion of hypocrisy, violence and injustice in the country. Employees of this structure fabricate criminal cases against unacceptable persons, collect money from businessmen, sabotage civilians, torture opponents and physically destroy “competitors,” the post on the group’s Telegram channel says.

The words are attributed to a person who claims to have planted an improvised explosive device in a fuel tank in the building, and the Black Bridge movement claims to have assisted him.

Journalists of Meduza, an investigative site blocked in Russia since March last year and recognized by the Russian authorities as an “undesirable organization” in early 2023, remind us that there is no independent confirmation of this version of events.

A post on the Podul Negru Telegram channel also states that the person who planted the explosive device announced the sabotage on March 14, two days before the explosion, using an encrypted message:

“Pavlovsky Posad (without the name of a Russian city in the Moscow region). FSB Greetings from Escobar.”

Members of the Black Bridge group claim that the saboteur changed the name of the city where the attack will be carried out in order to confuse investigators.

What is known about the destruction of the FSB building and the Black Bridge movement.

On March 16, a large-scale fire broke out in the building of the border unit of the Federal Security Service of the FSB in the city of Rostov-on-Don. Residents reported that they heard a loud explosion before it thundered.

Rostov Oblast Governor Vasyl Golubev said the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit, and Russian TV channel “Baza Baza” said it was a detonation at a warehouse of the FSB border service, after which the flames also spread. to the main building.

It was destroyed by a fire that killed at least one person and injured two others.

Little is known about the Black Bridge movement, except for the statements of members of the alleged partisan group in the Telegram channel of the same name.

In August 2022, they called for sabotage to disrupt the organization of referendums organized by Moscow on joining Russia in the occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson Oblast and Zaporizhzhia.

In another message published after the decree on partial mobilization in Russia, “Black Bridge” noted that “the regime chose a quick death through torture.”

“This is good, because the fighting on the Ukrainian front will end and the Reich will fall sooner. This is bad, because the partisan movement did not have time to form properly and the regime will still have time to send tens of thousands of recruits to the fertilizer,” the message says.
