Max Verstappen, second despite starting 15th in Jeddah

RedBull showed in Saudi Arabia that they play (at least for now) at a different level than the competition. Sergio Perez won the circuit in Jeddah after starting from pole position, while Max Verstappen was second at the end of the race despite starting 15th on the grid.

Veteran Fernando Alonso initially took the podium (Aston Martin – it would have been his 100th career podium), but the Iberian was handed a 10-second post-race penalty and ended up finishing 4th in the Grand Prix.

After this decision, George Russell (Mercedes) took the podium in an extreme manner.

They also finished in the points at the circuit in Jeddah: Lewis Hamilton (5th), Carlos Sainz (Ferrari – 6th), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari – 7th), Esteban Ocon (Alpine – 8th), Pierre Gasly (Alpine – 9th place). ) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas – 10th place).
