Vučić spoke in detail about the implementing provisions of the European plan agreed after 13 hours of talks in Ohrid with Kosovo’s Prime Minister Abin Kurti and EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell.

In this provision, in addition to the commitment that both parties will fully comply with the European proposal, there is now a specific reference to the implementation of previous agreements, especially the 2013 agreement establishing the Union of Serbian Municipalities.

Vučić said that the additional provision obliges Pristina to immediately implement the 2013 agreement. In addition, a timetable has been set for the implementation of the plan for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, which indicates that within 30 days a control and monitoring committee will be created under the EU presidency.

It is also stated that after 150 days a donor conference for Serbia and Kosovo will be organized, but it is indicated that the funds to be raised will be available after Belgrade and Pristina complete the European plan to normalize their relations.. Of particular importance is the reference to the European path of Serbia and Kosovo, which says that each side will be evaluated separately and in case of a delay in the implementation of the plan, the process of European integration will be suspended.

It is noted that the European plan for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina was presented to the EU on February 27 and was accepted by both parties. This plan does not require Serbia to formally recognize Kosovo as an independent state, but obliges it to accept its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and recognize the symbols and state documents of Kosovo. It also stipulates that Belgrade will not oppose Kosovo’s membership in international organizations.
