New footage has surfaced on social media showing a Ukrainian soldier continuing to fight after a Russian soldier shot him in the head and then turned and killed him.
The video was shot from a drone during the clearing of trenches by the 71st mountain hunting brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The footage shows how the soldier on the right was ambushed by the Russian soldier on the left in the frame, who came out of cover and shot at the Ukrainian while standing with his back to him. The Ukrainian mountain hunter, however, gets up and stumbles towards his comrades.
In fact, at the very beginning of the video, he can be seen beckoning them before the Russian shoots him.
At two o’clock 00:23 you can observe a reversal of the situation. The Russian soldier on the left looks wounded, while the Ukrainian soldier strides confidently towards his position, throwing a grenade before striking at the very end of the frame.
It is not clear what happened between these two moments, juxtaposed by those who edited the footage, careful analysis of the footage seems to confirm that it is indeed the same Ukrainian soldier from the first part of the recording. But it is impossible to establish 100%, given that the Ukrainian army, unlike the Russians, has standard equipment for its soldiers.
From which unit would the Ukrainian “Rambo” come out.
The 71st Mountain Hunter Brigade is one of the Ukrainian units formed last year after the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.
It is interesting that it belongs to the Air Force of Ukraine, although its military does not have the training of paratroopers or paratroopers. Instead, these mountain fighters are usually used to support light airborne troops.
In December of last year, the Forbes agency noted that the 71st Mountain Hunter Brigade was deployed to the front in Bakhmut, so named after the city in the Donetsk region, which Russia has been trying to capture since early August.
The 68th Mountain Hunter Brigade of Ukraine, also created after the start of the war, was stationed further south in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The war effectively removed Ukrainian mountain hunters from the geographic regions for which such units are trained, and they are now used in missions where their high mobility is an advantage.
Another video, which appeared on social media in late December last year, was captured by another unit of hunters, also on a mission to clear enemy trenches, showing a group of Russian soldiers surrendering without any resistance after being caught suddenly.
