These small trucks with extremely compact dimensions, were originally developed in Japan for urban use. In France and in Europe, we love more light SUVs, more like “vans”. In France, only a few players are still present in this niche. Renault Trucks/Nissan used to be located there with their own Maxity/NT400 duo, Toyota with its Dyna. Today only Isuzu Elf and Mitsubishi Fuso Canter. THE Chinese group DFSK came into the niche recently. Among these Last of the Mohicans, Fuso continues his merry way, opening today an electric version of its Canter: the eCanter. Introduced a few months ago, it has officially landed in France. We have had its thermal variant for several months, so its design was known. The great novelty of this new generation was aligning the assortment to the bottom : Canter now available in a gross weight of 4.25 tons, 6 tons, 7.25 tons or even 8.5 tons! A very versatile little truck

Fuso announces 42 options available which take into account different combinations of weight (4), wheelbase (6), cab type (2) and number of selected batteries (3). he can send up to 16 euro palletsfor carrying capacity up to 4.6 tons. At the electrical level, three rechargeable batteries are offered, and can be located under the chassis. One for 4.3 kWh (70 kilometers of autonomy), the other for 82.6 kWh (140 kilometers) and a larger package of 123.9 kWh, which increases the range to 200 kilometers. All three accept fast charging, for the first – up to 70 kW, and for the other two – up to 104 kW. THE DC charging time (up to 90%) respectively, is 36 minutes, 44 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes. Its prices in France start from 90,571 euros (without tax) in the version of the chassis with a cab, equipped with the first battery.
