At the deadline two weeks ago, the Supreme Court of Cassation proposed to postpone the verdict in the dispute between the two clubs until March 16.

In 2021, the Court of Appeal of Bucharest decided that the record of the football team of Steaua Bucharest Army Sports Club from 1947 to 1998 belongs to CSA Steaua Bucharest.

Also, FCSB has a track record from 2003 to date. This means 5 league titles in Ligue 1, three Romanian Cups, two Super Cups and two League Cups.

However, the period 1998-2003 still remains “hanging in the air”, as the decision on this issue has not yet been made. This is the period when Viorel Peunescu became the president of the military club until 2003, when Gigi Becali took over the club.

During this period, the military won the championship in 2000-01, the Cup in 1998-99 and the Super Bowl in 2001.
