The future of Karim Benzema has been decided and will be determined in the next period. The attacker agreed with Madrid to extend the contract for another season, writes AS.com.

The current deal, which expires in June, will be extended until the summer of 2024, giving the Frenchman 15 seasons at the club.

Real Madrid’s policy for players over 30 is always the same, to extend their contracts by one year depending on their performance on the pitch.

Benzema’s situation also includes Modric, Nacho and Kroos, who are yet to be agreed, as well as the younger Asensio and Ceballos.

Karim Benzema, who was withdrawn from France after the World Cup in Qatar, has 18 goals and five assists in 27 games this season.

The deal is expected to be officially announced in the coming weeks.
