The team coached by Stefano Pioli had a good match against Salernitana, but despite it all they could not find a way to success.

The reigning champion of Italy missed many opportunities to score in the first half, and finally Olivier Giroud opened the scoring in extra time of the first half (min. 45+1).

In the second half, the visitors restored the tie in the 61st minute, with Boulaye Dia finishing Bradaric’s cross to set up the final score of the match.
