N’Golo Kante, Christian Pulisic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mason Mount are the most important names to leave Chelsea

Chelsea have been setting record after record over the last two transfer windows, but it has been a modest season so far for Todd Boley’s side.

Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League and far from the European Cup places, 7 points behind Newcastle United (5th, Europa League).

However, the Londoners reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, having managed to overturn the result in a double with Borussia Dortmund (2:1 on aggregate).

Mass arrivals at Stamford Bridge are also bound to trigger departures, with club officials expecting at least 12 players to leave at the end of this season.

The first is Frenchman N’Golo Kante, whose contract expires at the end of the current season, as does Marcus Bettinelli.

Next up will be Denis Zakaria and Joao Felix, whose loans at Juventus and Atletico Madrid expire at the end of the season.

Ben Chilwell, who suffered a serious injury last season, is also on the way out and Manchester City are interested in his services.

In addition, the reigning English champions have also set their sights on Mason Mount, a 24-year-old who is yet to agree a contract extension with Chelsea. Graham Potter’s side are betting they will receive a hefty sum in exchange for the midfielder.

Mateo Kovacic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek are the other players most likely to leave Chelsea. Minutes matter a lot in their case and certainly these 4 will be sought after by other teams this summer.

At the same time, Azpilicueta is another footballer who is leaving the field, he is offered by Barcelona in the summer of 2022. The Spaniard is likely to end up there as Xavi wants him badly.

The Moroccan Hakim Ziyech, who was very close to leaving this winter for Paris Saint-Germain, completes the list last.

The delay by the Londoners meant that the move no longer fit into the planned timetable for the mercato period.
