The 17-year-old defendant will cross the threshold of the investigator today for attacking Janis Varoufakis, in Exarchia. The prosecutor’s office charged the young man with two criminal offenses and two misdemeanors.

Meanwhile, the arrest of all those responsible for the attack on Giannis Varoufakis is only a matter of time, since, according to the police, these are anti-authoritarians known to the authorities from incidents in the past and who are wanted.

In fact, the released video shows the attackers breaking into the restaurant where Mr. Varoufakis was dining and the tension that preceded the beating.

Meanwhile, the arrested 17-year-old boy is known to the authorities because he allegedly participated in anti-authoritarian incidents in the past. This is the young man who reportedly filmed the beating. The police are trying to trace the video.

He was charged with grievous bodily harm, gang crime, unlawful violence and illegal possession of weapons.
