The driver, who was under the influence of alcohol and whose driver’s license was suspended, was caught on Sunday morning by the police from Buzau after a chase, according to Agerpres.

According to data provided by the Buzau County Police Inspectorate, the public order patrol of the Buzau Municipal Police noticed a car that had a winding trajectory and the police gave a legal stop signal, but the driver continued on his way, the police began to follow him.

“At some point, after reaching Karaimana Street, the intersection with Oltului Street, the driver allegedly lost control and collided with a billboard at the roundabout. As the driver tried to escape, the police began immobilizing him and handcuffing him,” the source said.

During the checks, it was established that the driver of the car was a 32-year-old resident of Valya-Rymnikului, who has a suspended driving license.

The driver was also tested on a breathalyzer, as a result of which 0.16 mg/l of pure alcohol was detected in exhaled air.

According to the fact, criminal proceedings have been opened, law enforcement officers are continuing their investigation to establish all the circumstances of the event.

At the same time, the driver was fined for the violation, the total amount of fines was 2,030 lei.
