The mayor’s office of the capital signed a contract for the development of a master plan for the development of a network of bicycle paths at the level of the municipality of Bucharest, Mayor Nikushor Dan announced.

This “will allow us to invest in alternative urban transport with European money,” the mayor wrote on his Facebook.

The master plan will be developed by FIP Consulting SRL, the contract value is 530,000 lei, and the development period is 12 months.

“We need this strategic document, which will become the basis for projects to develop an extensive network of bicycle paths, to determine and prioritize optimal routes on both main and secondary streets, taking into account the needs of current or potential users, traffic, areas of interest. , as well as the urban development of some areas of the city,” Nikushor Dan said.
