Farul Constanta lived up to their status as league leaders with a 2-1 derby victory over Rapid Bucharest after a tight game in the 30th Super League.

The visitors were deprived of the gallery contribution, the fans from Giulesti refused to enter the stadium because they were offered far fewer tickets than the number of fans present in Constanta.

After a strong start for the hosts, Rapid opened the scoring in the 14th minute thanks to Antonio Sefer, a shot from the edge of the penalty area, after a lack of synchronization between the opposing defenders.

They led for only seven minutes, as Artean scored an equalizer in the 21st minute with a header after Borza’s action.

The winning goal came in the 50th minute when speedy goalkeeper Horatio Moldovan made an incredible mistake to miss Adrian Mazila’s low shot.

Farul enters the playoffs in the lead with 32 points after the break, while Rapid are fifth and will have 26 points.
