
As Mayor Christian Gentea announced, the Nikolae Dobrin Stadium in Pitesti, where FC Argesh plays its home matches, will be demolished and a new arena will be built in its place.

“The Government of Romania, at its meeting on Thursday, March 9, 2023, approved the dismantling of the Nicolae Dobrina Sports Complex building at Nicolae Dobrina Street, No. 10, Pitesti Municipality, in order to realize the investment goal of construction at the same site. Nikolay Dobrin Stadium on Nikolay Dobrin Street No. 10, Pitesti Municipality. Demolition procedures and, subsequently, the construction of a new football arena will begin after the government’s decision appears in the Official Gazette,” Christian Gentea said on social media.
The current stadium, which was first called “May 1”, then “Municipal”, and since 2002 “Nikolae Dobrin”, was built in 1964, writes News.ro.
The future stadium will also bear the name of Nikolai Dobrin and will be built with the support of the Ministry of Development and Public Works.
