Halep will lose 390 points by not participating in Indian Wells, the tournament where she reached the semifinals in 2022: she was defeated by Iga Sviatek (7-6(8), 6-4) (the Pole should have won the California tournament).
In WTA Live, Halep now has 1,565 points, ahead of Magda Lynette, Donna Vekic, Madison Keys and Qinwen Zheng.
Simona will drop at least 4 places, she is currently ranked 23rd and in the Live WTA.
However, she can still be beaten by other players currently competing in Indian Wells, a WTA 1000 event.
