As part of the preliminary investigation, the three experts collected a number of pieces of evidence, including the train’s tachograph. The analyzes showed, among other things, that the train entered the bypass line passing through the Adendros railway station at a speed of 144.3 kilometers per hour, while the speed limit did not exceed 60.
Some of the mortally injured train staff were considered responsible for the accident. Thus, the criminal case was not initiated and the case was closed out of court.
