Vinci Highway fulfills its obligations to support the development of low-carbon mobility: the company has just entrusted a French operator Electra deployment and management 7 new ultra-fast charging stationswhich is planned to be commissioned by summer 2023 on its network of French motorways.
In general, there will be such 112 new powerful charging pointswith a maximum power 300 kW, which will complement the offer of the French motorway network until this summer: enough to make the journey easier for electric car owners on holiday, with a simple charging offer. In this way, Electra becomes the first French operator to deploy fast charging stations on the French motorway network, in addition to the Dutch Fastned or the German Ionity.
Electra: new high-speed charging stations in the south of France
Electra will be responsible for the deployment and operation of these new electric charging stations 7 service areas Da Vinci Highway. This project was funded by the French government as part of the recovery plan. The planned 112 new charging stations will be spread over several terminals, which are distributed as follows:
IArea of latitude 45onAutostrada A7north of Valence in the direction of Lyon, will have 14 charging stations, whilebilateral district of Garonnewhich is located on the streetHighway A62 between Agen and Toulouse, will receive 12 terminals.
Each of Districts of Carcassonne Arzens (North and South)onHighway A61 8 terminals will be equipped in Carcassonne, whileDistrict of Gignac RebutionA55 highway, between Marseille and Etang de Berre, will get 4 terminals. Finally,Vitrol districtupon enteringAutostrada A7 from Marseille, 4 terminals will be equipped.
Electra: stations that care about the environment
These new stations have been designed to limit their impact on the environment: for example, there will be sheds photovoltaic panelswhose energy production will be reintroduced into production circuits.
The charging areas were also filled with drainage paving stones so as not to waterproof the ground. In addition, Electra will carry out a carbon assessment for each of the implemented projects and undertakes to offset the CO2 emissions generated at its facilities by planting new trees.
To date, more than 75% of service areas in the Vinci Autoroutes network are equipped with charging points for electric vehicles. Vinci Autoroutes has set itself the goal of equipping all service areas in its network by 2023, a total of more than 1500 charging points in service
