Sepsi – ChFR Cluj 2-2, 29th stage of the Super League

The stakes of the game were high for both teams. While Dan Petrescu’s men were looking to return to the top of the standings, Sepsi needed three points to secure the last place in the playoffs.

Cristiano Bergodi’s side opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Mark Tamas headed home Stefanescu’s free-kick.

ChFR Cluj returned the score just four minutes before the end of the first half.

First Juri in the 32nd minute with a header from a corner taken by Djak, then Djang, a stop in the chest and a cross near the post in the 36th minute, seemed to bring calm to the form from Gruia.

In the second half, the Kovesnians managed to equalize in the 73rd minute thanks to Sanfranco, who did a great job with Stefanescu’s cross, taking advantage of the indecision of the Transylvanian defenders, and beat Skuffet.

CFR Cluj loses the chance to become the leaders and remains in the second position of the rating, one point behind Farul Konstanz.

Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe is fighting for a playoff spot with an extremely tough trip to FCSB in the final leg of the regular season, while top seed U Craiova 1948 play UTA at home.
