The 2023 season resumed as last year, with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez finishing first in the Bahrain Grand Prix. George Russell (Mercedes) believes that RedBull will also not be able to abuse this year and will get the world title again.

Lewis Hamilton finished 5th (almost 51 seconds behind Max Verstappen) and George Russell was 7th.

George Russell believes that RedBull is impossible to beat this season

Having been defeated by its own engine (Aston Martin climbed to the podium through Fernando Alonso), Mercedes became the fourth team at the Sahir circuit.

“RedBull won the title, I don’t think anyone can fight them this season. They should win every race this season, with the way they are developing I don’t see anyone giving them any problems.

It’s easy for them now, they can do whatever they want. They may not get every pole position as Ferrari is competitive on one lap, but when it comes to race mode they are in a very good position” – George Russellquoted by The Telegraph.

RedBull ended Mercedes’ run of eight consecutive constructors’ titles last season and Toto Wolff said after the race in Bahrain that the new season had started badly for his team.

“One of our worst days. Not bad at all, we lack speed everywhere! Aston Martins are fast, they deserve a podium. And RedBull is on another planet. It hurts us, they are too far from us. It reminds me of our best years, when we were a second per lap faster than everyone else” – Toto Wolffquoted by Reuters.
