Under pressure from his own parliamentarians to find a solution to the flow of migrants arriving in Britain from Europe, Prime Minister Sunak has made stopping small boats one of his five key policy priorities.

  • “Make no mistake, if you come here illegally, you will not be able to stay,” warned Rishi Sunak.

A new law to deal with the problem will be drafted on Tuesday, the newspaper reported, after more than 45,000 people crossed the Channel last year.

Last year, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson agreed to send tens of thousands of migrants, many from Afghanistan, Syria and other war-torn countries, over 4,000 miles (6,400 km) to Rwanda, Agerpres recalls.
