The case of the attempted murder of two 21-year-old foreigners, which took place in the evening hours of February 28, 2023 in the area of ​​Agios Panteleimonas, was solved by the Athens Security Subdivision of the Attica Security Directorate.

The attacker was identified and detained 24-year-old man. A criminal case has been opened against him for attempted murder and violation of the law on weapons. The man involved in the attack is still being sought.

In particular, a 24-year-old man, along with another criminal, was crossing the street in the Agios Panteleimon area when they crossed paths with a 21-year-old foreigner.

According to EL.AS, two intruders approached the foreigners and attacked them, beating them.

The 24-year-old man hit the victim on the head with the butt of a pistol, and then shot him three times, but missed.

At the scene of the attack, 2 cartridge cases and a cartridge were confiscated and confiscated.

During a search of the house of a 24-year-old man, an additional cartridge was found and seized.

The detainee will be taken to the Athenian Criminal Prosecutor’s Office.
