Milan, great emotions for a place in the UEFA Champions League – Fiorentina destroyed the champion’s plans

After 3 successive successes without conceding goals in Serie A, the team coached by Stefano Pioli suffered away from Artemio Franchi.

Without Rafael Leao (suspended for accumulating yellow cards), the reigning champions didn’t have much of an impact in attack, especially in the first half.

Fiorentina opened the scoring in the 49th minute with a shot from 11 meters by Nicolas Gonzalez.

In the second half, Milan played a little better and Pioli threw in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Divock Origi, but to no avail.

In addition, the hosts scored again in the 87th minute thanks to Luka Jovic, ex-forward of Real Madrid.

Milan reduced the deficit in the 5th minute of stoppage time thanks to Theo Hernandez, but it was too late to get a positive result.

The champion of Italy lost and remained in the emotions of a place in the Champions League.

“Fiorentina” remains in 12th place and is currently not waiting for relegation.
