The driver may have been injured and that’s why the accident happened, prosecutor Eric Vaillant said.

“The driver’s wife told me he felt sick, he unbuckled his seat belt because he was tightening it, and he said, ‘I’m going to stop, I’m not going to throw up in front of the kids.’ said the driver’s employer, Jean-Luc Chevalier.

The bus was transporting elementary school students to Grenoble train station after the battle in the Hautes-Alpes.

On Saturday evening, three adults, including the driver, were hospitalized in a Grenoble hospital “in a relatively critical condition”. 18 slightly injured children have already been discharged.

“The children are in a state of shock, but none of them were seriously injured,” the prosecutor said.

There were six adults and 40 children in the bus. (source news.ro)
