
A rare incident occurred during the European Indoor Championships Athletics Istanbul as the Swiss sprinter Enrico Guder ran… alone and “managed” to be cancelled!
In the 60m swim, Guder was disqualified by a decision of the judges. But after careful consideration, it turned out that the decision was erroneous.
So, to make up for the injustice, the judges decided to give the Swiss a chance to qualify for the qualification… on his own.
Gooder took a place in the race in order to achieve a better result than the athletes who passed the qualification, but made two (!) Invalid starts and was disqualified …
