Mikaela beat the Italian Sofia Goja – 1 min. 32 sec. 65/100 and Swiss Corinne Suter – 1 min.32 sec. 77/100.

With seven races left on the world circuit’s schedule — a maximum of 700 points up for grabs — but beating Switzerland’s Lara Guth-Behramy (21st) in Saturday’s race, Shiffrin, who has a significant advantage, can take the ball. The Grand Crystal Globe after the final in Andorra on March 19.

With five FIS World Cup wins overall, after victories in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022, Shiffrin equaled Luxembourg’s Marc Girardelli, who dominated alpine skiing between the 1980s and 1990s.

However, the best results in this matter remain with Austrians Annemarie Moser-Prohl (6) and Marcel Hirscher (8).

Shiffrin, the title holder, has achieved 14 podiums this season, including 11 wins in 25 races, according to Agerpres.

In the overall standings of the World Cup after 31 out of 38 tests, Shiffrin leads with 1792 points, followed by Lara Gut with 996 points, Petra Vlhova of Slovakia with 975 points, Federica Brignone of Italy with 849 points, etc.
