According to the source, the project was launched by the Ukrainian mining and metallurgical company “Metinvest”, and the plant’s employees say that they are happy to contribute to Ukraine’s confrontation with Russia. They have already sent 123 structures to the regions of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions in the east of Ukraine.

Each bunker requires almost two tons of steel and can accommodate up to six soldiers, and the structures will be buried about 1.5 meters underground, writes the Associated Press.

Petro Zhuk, who heads a team of 40 people that is building shelters, explained that they are being built so that Ukrainian military personnel can rest there.

According to him, it takes 165 hours of work to make the structures, including assembly.
