Another representative of Romania in this test, Lenutsa Petronela Simiuk, took the last place in the series (21) with a result of 4 minutes 29 seconds 07/100, writes Agerpres.

The 1500m final is scheduled for Saturday evening at 7:00 PM (Romanian time).

AND Gabriel Bitan he won the final in the long jump with a result of 8.03 meters (a season’s best), the third time in the qualification behind Sweden’s Tobias Montler (8.14m) and Greece’s Miltiadis Tentoglou (8.03m), the reigning Olympic champion. The final will be held on Sunday (09:12).

Olena Andrea Talosh took only 13th place in the triple jump (13.39m) and missed qualifying for the final eight.

Neither Mihai Dringo nor Robert Parge could make it to the finals of the 400 m race. Dringo recorded the 19th time of the series (47 sec. 06/100), and Parge was second to last (24 – 49 sec. 67/100). .

Daniela Stancu qualified for the high jump final on Thursday night and will compete for a medal on Sunday (09:20).

Romania is participating with 14 athletes, seven girls and seven boys, at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul (March 2-5), which gathers 593 athletes from 47 countries, 301 for men and 292 for women.

At the last competition in Toruń (2021), the best result was achieved by Daniela Stancu, the fifth place in the high jump.
