Russian President Vladimir Putin reacted to the incidents that allegedly took place in the Russian Bryansk, on the border with Ukraine, calling them a “terrorist act”, the Russian state news agencies TASS and RIA Novosti write.
- “Today (the Ukrainians – no) committed another terrorist attack, another crime, entered the border zone and opened fire on civilians.
- They saw that it was a civilian car, they saw that civilians and children were sitting there. It was an ordinary car, they opened fire on it,” Vladimir Putin said during a video conference with participants of an educational program in the North Caucasus, TASS and RIA Novosti reported.

The head of the Kremlin announced a trip to the North Caucasus for Teacher and Mentor Day on Thursday, but press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin canceled his visit “due to the situation in Bryansk region.”
Moscow news agencies, as well as other major Russian publications, write that a Ukrainian “group of saboteurs” infiltrated the Russian district of Bryansk and allegedly took hostages, and the forces of the FSB, the Russian Guard and the army joined the battle with the “saboteurs”.
It should be noted that in the press agencies of the Kremlin, as well as in other newspapers, this is the main news.
Mykhailo Podolyak, Zelenskyi’s senior adviser, said that this was a provocation by Moscow.
“The story with the Ukrainian sabotage group in the Russian Federation is a classic deliberate provocation. The Russian Federation wants to scare its own people to justify attacking another country and increasing poverty after a year of war. The guerrilla movement in Russia is becoming stronger and more aggressive. Be afraid of your partisans…” Podoliak wrote on Twitter.
