President of the U.S.A Joe Biden he will meet on March 10 in Washington with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyento discuss issues related to energy, supply chains, China and the EU’s move away from Russian fossil fuels, the White House announced.

According to the announcement The leaders of the two countries will discuss Western support for Ukraine, the stakes of climate change and how they might respond to “the challenges posed by China”. It will discuss, among other things, “US-EU coordination to address the climate crisis through investment in clean technologies that will be based on secure supply chains.”

The Biden administration’s new Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which provides huge subsidies for US-made products and which Washington says is aimed at combating the climate crisis and promoting renewable energy sources, has drawn ire in Europe.
